1st/1st! Yay! I chose Hungry Like The Wolf. Those songs came about when I was in high school/college. In fact, Eye of the Tiger was our senior class song because our mascot just happened to be the tiger! I liked to dance to HLTW better back in the day though. Ahhh, good memories, just like ToT. One week count down starts now folks!

Both great songs, but have to go with Survivor on this one.
What's better than Rocky?

Like mama K, our school mascot was a Tiger and the pep band played Eye Of The Tiger at every ballgame. However, I voted for Hungry Like The Wolf because the boys of Duran Duran were smokin' hot back in the day and, like most teen girls from the 80's, their poster hung on my wall right next to Bon Jovi. Survivor... not so much. LOL

I don't want to start talking about the big count down. I haven't even started packing my ToT memorabilia yet! Hoping the moving trucks are late! =P

I will say... I would hate to be the one that has to pick the very last poll. It has to be something totally awesome... better than ever before.

Let's practice the FB plan tomorrow. Whoever posts first on ToT, go to Facebook and suggest a topic. Then, anyone who wishes may "comment" on the topic.

I just read yesterday's discussion of using Facebook to keep stuff going. I saw that about two minutes after I created a ToTers Google Group. The group is at http://groups.google.com/group/toters, if anyone wants to try that. I figured that most of you rely on the ToT Google Gadget, so a Google Group made sense as a ToT follow-up. I'm currently the group owner, but I will turn that responsibility over to any of you that want it.

If you want poll topic ideas, I'm happy to supply the master list to any of you regulars who want to do something with it. There are many thousands of ideas left over.

OK, I joined the google group. Way to go, Gia. You were already there! So everybody else, join up and we'll test it all manana. Randy, you could send the poll topic ideas to me. I am in Central Time and try to sleep late whenever possible but I think I can commit to every day a topic.

I was forced to sing Eye of the Tiger in middle-school chorus and have flashbacks of the choir director making me sing second soprano when I can barely fake first. I can tolerably manage alto but honestly do not belong in a choir of any type! (I was in a band for about 5 years but that's another story!)

Plus, Hungry Like the Wolf featured Simon LeBon and had an awesome video!! (Sorry, my inner middle-school 80's self just did a little happy dance for the 80's-tastic-ness of this poll!)

The google group has at least one small bonus...avatars!

I didn't know it was possible, but I now have two songs in my head. I went with Eye of the Tiger, because it does not remind me of Small Sacrifices. I think that's the title. Also, Eye of the Tiger was playing when I broke a block of wood with my hand. It was one of those exercises where you write bad stuff on the side facing you and good stuff on the side you "break through" to. My best friend at the time was holding the wood for me and I hit his hand twice before I managed to hit the wood and break it. (Sorry, Rob.)

Can someone go to the Google Group, click on me, and let me know if my email address is public? I already had a profile, because I used to be in a Google Group for school (a private group). I deleted some of my info, but I can't figure out how to get rid of my email address or if it's even visible.

emily isabella- Small Sacrifices? The Farrah Fawcett movie? I haven't seen that since I took Social Problems (Soc 3) in high school.

And yes, a partial email address is shown for you... it blocks out several of the characters. For example- thisisanexamplewithdashes---@gmail.com My email is on there with 3 missing characters.

Tigers are my favorite animal (and like many of you here, they were my high school's mascot too), but I had to go with Hungry Like the Wolf. I always liked that song better.

Speaking of high school mascots, what were your high school colors? Ours were crimson and white. I'm glad we had such nice colors. I would have hated wearing a yellow or orange graduation gown.
