Fjord is just a cute little word. I would like to see some. Have you driven a Ford lately? I haven't. Nor do I have any affection for Gerald Ford.

I travel Ford Road at least four times a day. I attended Henry Ford Community College for a year before U of M. I've used the Henry Ford Health System. I drive the Ford Freeway often too. Henry Ford's "Honeymoon Cottage" is in my neighborhood. My prom was at Ford's Fairlane Manor. We watch the Lion's (owned by the useless William Clay Ford- let Billy take over!!) attempt to play at (the surprisingly nice) Ford Field.

Those are my pro-Ford comments. Now I must own that unless given one absolutely free I won't own another Ford product. I don't know if these acronyms are popular outside of Michigan but it's often said that Ford stands for Fix-or-repair-daily or Found-on-road-dead. There's a lot of smack-talk between folks who work for competing manufacturers.

I do love the word Fjord too. It always reminds me of Monty Python's "Dead Parrot" sketch: Well, he's...he's, ah...probably pining for the fjords.

nsismybf- On behalf of the beleaguered folks here in Michigan, we apologize for Gerald Ford too. (He's a Michigan alum and his name is all over campus including the School for Public Policy.)

Yes, Rob, that's definitely another 'positive' Ford. I think I need to go and grab my towel before I head out. Some days you need your towel more than others...

Michchick, sorry, I meant I didn't have any feeling for him either way, not that I have any problem with him!

I went with Fjord too. Thought i HATE the fjord. SWIF will likely agree with me. Monotonous and boring and repetitive...

mich & MMM: You posted them before I could. :-(
